Until yesterday, we’ve only heard bits and pieces about the Infinite Forest, one of the areas in Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris. The latest livestream revealed a lot of info about the area. It turns out it’s actually a time machine of sorts, which will let you explore Mercury in the future and past, even across alternate timelines. Destiny 2 is going full Marvel with Curse of Osiris, it would seem.

Destiny 2 Infinite Forest Will Let You Travel Through Time on Mercury

If you’ve watched gameplay footage from Mercury, you may have noticed it’s not the biggest area you could wish for. It turns out the devs decided to compensate for the lack of size of the base map by letting you travel through time. The Infinite Forest is a tunnel of sorts – a hub that will allow you to visit different versions of Mercury.

Lost Prophecies are a new type of activity in Destiny 2. They’re going to be added in the upcoming Curse of Osiris DLC. Bungie’s stream from last night revealed some info about them, so we finally know how they work. They’re similar to the bounties from the first game, and will reward you with legendary weapons on a weekly basis. It’s nice to see some more pre-determined loot being added to the game – hopefully it starts a trend.

Destiny 2 Lost Prophecies Will Drop Legendary Weapons – Curse of Osiris

The prophecies are tied to the Weapon Forge. Once you’ve completed the story portion, Brother Vance will start selling lost prophecy verses. Each verse is a quest in itself, and it seems you’ll get to do three per week. Once you’ve bought the verse, reading it will give you more info about what you need to do.

They can be quite cryptic, so it’s good that you’ll also get a simple checklist with them. The one that was shown in the stream required the player to scavenge a couple of rare items. Inspecting the verse more closely even gives hints about the best ways to obtain said items –
